Job description:

The leading organisation focussed within the games sector is enjoying an exciting period or growth and is actively seeking an experienced Lead PHP Developer to join their expanding team based in Reading.

 

As a Lead PHP Developer you will be responsible for the simultaneous delivery of web applications and CMS projects on time, in budget and to exceptional quality. From day one, you will be involved in a fast moving and creative environment, working alongside a team of industry specialists, administration teams and an external designer.

 

Your role will involve

 

* Effective day to day management and development of the suite of websites

 

* Delivery and maintenance of their website including server management and overseeing their hosting company.

 

* Take responsibility for keeping the company abreast and up-to-date on technical advancements, suggesting improvements

in systems to increase the effectiveness of data mining and administration

 

* Liaison and overall supervision of our external development and design company in order to slowly move away from that route and increase the internal team

 

* Keeping code documentation up to date

 

* Be able to think logically to create code that provide solutions and enhanceour website with increased functionality, speed and effectiveness

 

The successful Lead PHP Developer will have extensive (over 3 years) experience of:

- Web technologies including PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, XML, JQuery, Ajax, MySQL & Flash, Linux

- Website design and usability

 

Personal skills

 

* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work well under pressure

 

* Able to work under pressure to very tight deadlines, with a strong focus on achieving results.

 

* Can work without supervision to strive to better targets

 

* Team player

 

* You should also be be a self-starter, with a high attention to detail and are highly technical in nature
