Job description:
This leading and rapidly expanding online business marketing organisation are actively seeking a Senior UX Designer, to spearhead the design of their new web based interfaces for their suite of ground breaking web applications.
Their new interfaces are highly interactive using advanced techniques and processes and their own UX methodology that stretches JavaScript to the limit. They want to push it even further and take full advantage of HTML5 and Canvas. They are aiming to create some of the most advanced but instantly understandable and usable interfaces and tools around.
The successful Senior UX Designer will have:
Expert level User Interface Design (UI), User Experience Methodologies (UX), and awesome artistic skills.
Solid understanding of HCI and GUI methodologies
Expert creative/design skills and abilities. You must be able to sketch quickly, think on your feet, and take an idea (or if need be generate 100s of new ones) - from concept to completion.
Solid understanding of the technical abilities and limitations of web and mobile technologies.
An understanding of how web based APIs operate and how developers can implement your designs and experiences.
Expert knowledge of Photoshop & Illustrator (familiarly with Indesign a bonus) and a full technical understanding of web art-working and graphic formats.
Knowledge of version control systems (e.g. Subversion / Git).
HTML / CSS knowledge would be extremely advantageous.
Ability to work in a fast paced, collaborative ,and iterative programming environment.
They are looking for a UX/UI Designer who can design experiences and interfaces that illustrate what the next action(s) result will be without a user requiring instruction on how to achieve that result. Someone who can think outside of normal interface practice but still understand tried and tested HCI (Human Computer Interface) techniques and methods.
Your role will involve:
being at the core of all their UI and UX.
The look and feel, interactivity, and engagement will be pioneered by you.
You will drive all product interface design and architecture.
You will contribute in a major way to our UX and customer experiences.
