- Role: Full Stack Developer
Location: Oxford
Salary: £35-40k
ITSS Recruitment are currently working in partnership with a digital agency that specialise in complex technology challenges, research-led user experience design and bespoke data visualisation.
This role will require architecting project solutions and ensuring their successful delivery. This will require investigating viable routes in new projects requiring complex software integrations with third party services and APIs, documenting these and managing the development teams in delivering these projects within the agreed scope, budget and timeframe.
Knowledge of development requirements throughout a project lifecycle is important as you would be required to assist with determining the scope of new work, and helping to plan project backlogs and sprints with the Project Management and Sales teams.
Skillset Requirements;
Back End:
- Node.js (must include knowledge of Asynchronous methodology)
- PHP
- SQL databases
- REST APIs
- GraphQL (desirable, not necessity)
- ElasticSearch (desirable, not necessity)
Front End:
- React (desirable, not necessity)
DevOps:
- Linux admin (comfortable with standard UNIX ethos and commands).
- Compute, storage, networking, and identity management on either AWS, GCP, or
Azure
- Version Control (Ideally GIT)
- Docker
- Kubernetes (desirable, not necessity)
The main skill requirement for this position is with Back End and DevOps ahead of Front End. Whilst experience of front end development would be advantageous, it is not a mandatory requirement. In some cases a specific technology listed may have a similar equivalent with the skills needed being transferable.
Experience with:
- Designing, building, and shipping microservices
- The Twelve-Factor App methodology
- Leading code reviews and pair programming
- Conducting technical interviews
- Stakeholder relations
- Technical writing
- Appreciation of working with highly designed focused projects (i.e. an eye for design specifics, accuracy and working with graphics packages)
