Location: Just outside Northampton
Salary: £35-40k per annum
ITSS Recruitment are currently working with an expanding business that specialise in the Insurance/Financial Services sectors who are looking to hire a Senior Developer.
The role of the Senior Developer will be to manage the ongoing development concerns of the company including primarily the development and maintenance of a business critical web application.
Responsibilities;
* Develop and maintain new and existing software programs
* Take an active role in the specification of software projects, assisting stakeholders where needed
* Clearly and regularly communicate with management and colleagues
* Test and maintain software products to ensure strong functionality and optimisation, trouble shooting and resolving issues
* Protect customer data from outside infiltration through encryption, secure data storage and other necessary means
* Other ad-hoc duties as required by the Head of IT
Required Skillset;
* Microsoft .Net Framework / C#
* ASP.NET - WebForms, MVC, Web API
* Entity Framework / Code First
* Database (SQL Server) - Ability to design and appropriately modify table schema and stored procedures
* Javascript
* Source control / TFS
* Good coding practices incorporating modern design patterns
* IIS
Desired Skillset;
* UI design
* Xamarin Forms
* SQL Server maintenance
* Windows Server
The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for details and problem solving from the point of view of both software development and the business domain.
As the candidate will be a senior member of the development and IT team they will be expected to proactively contribute to resolve any issues which arise. Assisting and mentoring less senior members of the team will also be a key requirement of the role.
