- Role: EMEA Financial Consolidation Accountant
Location: London (Hybrid)
Salary: £60-80k
ITSS Recruitment are working in partnership with an international data storage business who are looking to hire a Financial Consolidation Accountant for their EMEA Finance department.
The new team member will be responsible for assisting on EMEA consolidation to support both internal and external reporting requirements. This will include monthly management accounts by legal entity across the EMEA region, EMEA annual accounts, lender reporting and other adhoc reporting requirements.
Responsibilities:
Month and quarter end reporting;
* Assist with production of IFRS consolidated and individual legal entity results for monthly management accounts and quarterly for external partners.
* Assist with the production of quarterly lender and other external stakeholder material.
* Supporting the group balance sheet reconciliation on a monthly/quarterly statutory basis. (this will include consolidations at subsidiary levels.)
* Building strong working relationship with key stakeholders - divisional and local finance teams, Tax, Treasury, Corporate Finance, CoSec and Legal.
* Support and assist with quarterly deliverables such as IFRS15 reporting, lender reporting and other external stakeholder materials.
* Improve the quality and deliverables for month end reporting.
* Co-ordination and control of intercompany charges between all EU entities and North America.
Year end;
* Assist with the production of annual statutory accounts.
* Co-ordination with division and local finance team for submission of year end packs.
* Support throughout year end audit.
* Point of contact for fiduciaries on provision of information required for accurate and timely completion of statutory tax returns (and audits where required).
Ad-Hoc;
* Assisting with significant M&A reporting related activity and Accounting Papers.
* Maintenance of process notes for monthly, quarterly and annual processes.
* Adhoc reporting requests both internally as well other teams - Treasury, Tax, M&A, Divisional Finance.
* Ad hoc analysis as required to support strategic objectives of CFO.
* Assisting with production of Group accounting papers such as acquisition accounting, debt financing and bespoke corporate transactions.
Key Accountabilities:
* Timely and accurate production of various reporting packs.
* High quality outputs presented in a concise and easy-to-follow manner.
* Identify and improve month end process.
* Co-ordination with divisional finance.
* Assistance with management and development of graduate management accountant.
Skills/Experience:
* Knowledge of IFRS
* Prior experience of multi-currency group consolidation (preferable)
* Ability to work under pressure whilst maintain quality of deliverables
* Strong attention to detail and solution orientated
* Effective interpersonal skills and a team player
* Prior Experience with Yardi a plus
* Advanced MS Excel (Index match and VLOOKUP formulae), data manipulation and analysis
