ITSS Recruitment are working in partnership with an international data storage business who are looking to hire a Tax Manager for their EMEA Finance department.
The successful applicant will support broad company initiatives and interact with key internal and external stakeholders. You will work closely with our Global Senior Tax Director and have high visibility with members of our Executive Teams in North America and Europe. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is capable of driving results and takes initiatives. You should have a professional-growth mindset and be willing to bring forth innovative ideas and methods that can benefit the business.
Essential functions;
* Support and manage local tax advisors throughout the EMEA region to ensure accurate and timely compliance for direct, indirect and withholding tax filings and payments.
* Organise and drive tax compliance processes in the EMEA region.
* Support and manage tax accounting requirements for financial reporting and forecasts.
Duties:
* Support our local advisors in the preparation of our corporate income tax returns throughout the EMEA region. Ensure tax filing and payment deadlines are met and monitor local tax legislation updating processes as required.
* Support our local advisors in the preparation of our VAT returns throughout the EMEA region. Ensure all filings and payment deadlines are met.
* Respond to local tax authority inquiries for both direct and indirect taxes.
* Support HR and payroll tax providers with local filings and provide a general overview of our regional employment tax position.
* Organise compliance calendars, processes and filings to include current and new country requirements in a rapidly growing company.
* Assist in the fulfilment of withholding tax compliance and reporting obligations.
* Prepare or assist in preparing real and personal property tax returns and monitor for incentives and optimisation.
* Preparation of the local tax accounting for inclusion in the local statutory accounts, including adjustments for corporate and deferred taxes and working with local advisors and external auditors as required.
* Assist or lead in various corporate tax projects (e.g. thin capitalisation analysis and planning, tax automation projects, transfer taxes - including stamp duties - calculations and compliance).
Job Requirements:
* Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) or tax advisor (CTA) with 4-5 years experience in corporate tax compliance and accounting.
* Experience working in an international/multi-jurisdictional enterprise.
* Experience in managing a variety of duties and projects at once.
* Ability to work effectively with multiple competing deadlines.
* Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, both verbally and written.
* German speaking advantageous.
