- Role: Finance Manager
Location: City of London (hybrid)
Salary: £35-45k

They are proud to be known as the best in their field and are looking for a Finance and Commercial Manager to support the team in managing the commercial aspects of the business.

This new role for the consultancy would suit a flexible working arrangement and will include the following:
Key responsibilities:
- Working alongside the Directors in the strategic management of the commercial activities of the business.
- Management of the bank accounts in different currencies.
- Credit card management.
- Interface with the bank regarding any additional services required.
- Interface with software provider related to project performance, timesheets etc.
- Updating of finance cashflow.
- Support in the preparation fee proposals to Clients.
- Review and payment of expenses to team members.
- Payment of sundry invoices and payments.
- Invoice preparation and sending to Clients including co-ordination with the team to make sure information is correct.
- Updating and management of insurances.
- Lease and property management.
- Chasing Clients to ensure payments to Plan A are made in a timely manner.
- Provide reporting to assist in understanding project performance and profitability.
- Develop and improve existing internal company document templates where applicable
- Preparation, issue and updating of employment contracts and appendices and interface with new starters and current employees.
- Interface with externally appointed Accountant covering:
a. Payroll.
b. Quickbooks.
c. Expenses and P11D.
d. VAT queries and providing necessary information.
e. Company tax returns including corporation tax.
- Our accountant will continue to provide the services listed above.
A successful candidate should:
- Have a relevant accounting qualification - AAT Level 4 minimum
- Be experienced and have a proven track record of working in a commercial and financial environment.
- Be determined, proactive, accurate hands-on and works well under pressure in a fast-paced team environment.
- Be organised and thorough with good attention to detail
- Be a quick learner and be willing to develop new skills and show initiative
- Be personable and confident dealing with customers and suppliers
- Enjoy taking on responsibility
- Have good numeracy and literacy skills
- Have good computer skills including experience using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
- Fluent in written and spoken English
