Role: Development Manager
Location: Remote (Leeds based company)
Salary: £60k+

I am looking for a Developer Manager to join a fantastic company based in the Leeds area. My client is one of the fastest growing companies in Europe and with that growth comes exceptional opportunities.

As Developer Manager you will excel at leadership and maximising the potential of the development team. Reporting to the
Head of Technology, the Development Manager will oversee the in-house development team through the software development lifecycle using agile project management methodologies. You will be responsible for setting team and individual priorities and objectives and providing effective updates to stakeholders within the business.

Developer Manager Responsibilities:
* Liaise with the Product Team to define timescales for delivery of development projects
* Setting attainable goals to team members to complete projects on time
* Running daily stand-ups to promote collaboration
* Providing guidance to team members to encourage work productivity
* Liaising with the Product Team to ensure on-time delivery of development requests
* Managing multiple projects at once
* Resolving performance issues and making revisions when necessary
* Ensuring that DevOps is up to date with all tasks, estimates and work items
* Monitoring and evaluating the completion of tasks and projects against estimates
* Managing the release process, communicating with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless
delivery
* Identifying any blockers and liaising with Development Architects and/or business stakeholders
to resolve
* Be part of the Information Security committee and will be responsible for ensuring secure
development methodologies within the team

Developer Manager Requirements:
* Demonstrable experience in a SaaS environment and involvement in the SDLC over a number
of years to achieve progress and results
* Experience managing development teams to achieve the best results and personal growth of
individuals
* Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle
* Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and can champion Agile within the business
* Experience managing performance and conducting appraisals
* The ability to communicate effectively with the wider business including product teams and
senior stakeholders
* No expectation to write code in this role, but you will be accomplished at working in a project
management capacity within a SaaS environment

Developer Manager Advantages:
* Knowledge of web-based applications
* Knowledge of third parties integrations via RESTful APIs
