- Business Development Manager - £50K - Cambridge (Hybrid Working)
An exciting new opportunity has become available for a Business Development Manager within an award-winning Content Marketing Agency in Cambridge (Hybrid working)
We are looking for an experienced sales person to generate new business for our content marketing and publishing services.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
■ Cold-call new business leads and follow up on existing leads
■ Maintain CRM database and summary pipeline report to record leads
■ Carry out research to support the identification of new lead opportunities.
■ Deliver market intelligence that will help identify and shape the development for new business projects
■ Creation and delivery of presentations and proposals, responding to tenders, and
preparing and attending pitches
■ Attend meetings or events, either independently or as part of a team, to support
new business development
■ Provide a monthly report on activity and prospects
■ Handle and respond to web/phone and email-based enquiries
■ Ensure marketing collateral is meeting the business development needs
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
■ Excellent communication skills (in English), both spoken and written
■ Sales and business development experience
■ Experience working in or with a marketing agency
■ Commitment to attention to detail
■ Excellent organisational and administration skills with the ability to work under
pressure and prioritise own activities to deliver against deadlines
■ Marketing knowledge
■ Experience using PowerPoint or Google Slides to create proposals.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE
■ Understanding and experience of the membership and association industry
■ Working in a business development team in a marketing agency.
