We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Assistant to join a family run, highly reputable and fast-growing business within the Essex area. As a Finance Assistant, you will work alongside a supportive finance team, reporting to the Finance Manager. The environment within the department is fast paced and therefore the ideal candidate would be able to work effectively under pressure.
· You will be involved in all aspects of Finance, giving you the opportunity to grow, learn and widen your knowledge in the sector.

Person Specification;
· Ideal candidate would have at least 3 years' relevant experience in a broad based accounting role.
· You should be analytical, detail orientated and passionate about achieving organisational targets; enthusiastic, motivated, keen to learn.
· With the ability to work within a team as well as independently, using your own initiative where necessary.
· It is essential you have knowledge and experience of working on a mainstream accounting system - eg Sage / Xero / QuickBooks.
· You should possess strong reconciliation skills and experience dealing with high volume payment runs.
· To be considered for this role, you must have excellent attention to detail and be independent. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal are also a must.
· With the ability to work within a team as well as independently, using your own initiative where necessary.
· In depth knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, in particular of Microsoft Office Word & Excel
· Experience communicating with a variety of customers and suppliers
· Previous complex sales ledger and purchase ledger accounting experience
· Ability to multi-task and work to tight deadlines
· The ability to work and maintain confidentiality
