A well-established manufacturing business in Grimsby is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join its team. With more than five decades of industry experience and an established customer base across the UK and overseas, this is an opportunity to join a secure business and play a key role in keeping its production facility running efficiently.

As the new Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for maintaining a varied range of production and site equipment. Your duties will include diagnosing faults, completing repairs and carrying out preventative maintenance.

The successful Maintenance Engineer will bring a solid mechanical engineering background together with experience of maintaining equipment within a production environment. You should be confident investigating electrical faults, with PLC experience being beneficial, and be capable of working from engineering drawings and electrical schematics.

Required Maintenance Engineer Experience:
* Proven mechanical engineering or maintenance experience.
* Background within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
* Competent with electrical fault diagnosis and repair.
* Familiarity with PLC-controlled machinery would be advantageous.
* Able to understand engineering drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics.
* Experience taking responsibility for maintenance activities or leading others.
* Self-motivated with good planning and problem-solving abilities.
* Practical approach to engineering, including welding, fabrication and general repairs.

As the Maintenance Engineer, you will organise maintenance requirements, work with external contractors when specialist support is needed and ensure essential spares and materials are available.
